Nepali Cricket Team will be finally in action in the year 2025 as they are set to take on Qatar on 9th April in the opening match of the Hong Kong T20I Series, hosted by Hong Kong. 

The series comprising four nations will serve as a crucial series for Nepal ahead of the ICC T20I World Cup qualifiers which is scheduled for this year. Along with host Hong Kong; Kuwait will join Nepal and Qatar in the series. 

Qatar and Kuwait have also qualified for the 2025 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Asia-Pacific Regional Final. The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Asia-Pacific Regional Final will take place in Oman from 1 to 17 October 2025. 

Moving onto the series, the T20 International series will be played in single round-robin basis with all the teams playing each other once. The top two teams after the completion of round-robin league will play the final match on April 13. The remaining two teams will play a third place play-off match.

The opening match of the series between Nepal and Qatar will be played at Mission Road Ground, Mong Kok. The match will start from 6:45 am Nepali time in the morning. 

Nepal will come into this match after a 3-0 T20 International series win over USA. However, this was back in October, almost 6 months before. Nepal hasn’t played any T20Is after that series. Nepal did played ODI Tri-series, which was also 5 months before.
