The T20I squad for Pakistan arrived in Durban on Friday and has already completed two training sessions in preparation for the series opener.

The second and third T20Is are slated for 13 and 14 December at SuperSport Park, Centurion, and The Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg, respectively.

Following the T20Is, the teams will compete in three ODIs on 17, 19, and 22 December. The series will conclude with two Test matches, the first in Centurion starting 26 December and the second in Cape Town beginning 3 January.

Pakistan’s T20I squad, announced on 4 December, features the return of regular white-ball captain Mohammad Rizwan, who was rested during the recent Zimbabwe T20I series. Star players Babar Azam, Naseem Shah, and Shaheen Shah Afridi also rejoin the squad after missing the Zimbabwe tour.

The Men in Green boast an impressive recent record against South Africa in the shortest format. They secured back-to-back series wins against the Proteas, clinching a 2-1 victory at home in February 2021 and a 3-1 triumph in South Africa two months later.

This series promises to be a thrilling contest as both teams aim to assert their dominance across formats.
