Nepali women team is taking on the UAE women team in the opening match of ACC Women's Asia Cup 2024.

The 2024 Women's Twenty20 Asia Cup marks the ninth edition of the Women's Asia Cup, featuring matches played as Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is).

In January 2023, the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) revealed the pathway structure and calendar for 2023 and 2024, confirming the tournament's dates and participating teams.

The four full members of the Asian Cricket Council; Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka – automatically qualified for the tournament. Initially, it was announced that the finalists from the 2024 ACC Women's Premier Cup (Malaysia and United Arab Emirates) would join them.

However, in March 2024, the ACC updated the qualification criteria to include the semi-finalists from the Women's Premier Cup, thereby also adding Nepal and Thailand to the tournament.
